"Hydroponics is the technique of growing plants without soil by using mineral rich solutions in a water or inert medium solution to give nourishment to the roots. This process is more efficient since the nutrition is delivered directly to the plant so it does not have to spend energy searching in the soil.
Students will learn different methods of Hydroponics, advantages and disadvantages over traditional Soil based approach, technical aspects such as effect of pH on plant growth.
This is an exciting area of growth and research for the future due to various Land/Space and other limitations in the Soil based approach which can be overcome using Hydroponics."
